Big Purse Gift Box and A2 Cards

The New Purse with Big 3D Bow comes in 2 sizes, both with 2 options for a big 3D bow or layered doodle flower for the front.

The bigger box will hold A2 cards and envelopes or beauty supplies to pamper the recipient. The smaller box is perfect for small treats, polish, etc.

Robyn Pitts at Sir Chauncey Rocco is our guest designer today and she has taken the Purse with 3D Bow and turned it into this fabulous gift box and filled it with her beautiful Vintage Cards with Oval Frames. Take a look....
I created the new Purse Box using 80# black card stock by American Craft and the Graphic 45 Love Notes Collection.

I embellished the bag all over with rhinestones trim, which adds a touch of elegance.  The lid is lined with white scalloped lace and layered with a beautiful spray of roses in white, red, and black.

On the front of the lid, I embellished the over-sized bow with a black heart surrounded by rhinestones.

Below the bow I added a chipboard piece from the Love Notes collection as a closure for the bag.

The purse is secured with a Velcro closure and I attached the handle using a pearl brad.

The inside of the box is lined with coordinating paper, which gives the purse a finished look and makes it even more sturdy

I created a set of six  A2 cards and envelopes using the Vintage Card with Oval Frame and the A2 Bracket Envelope

I used a strand of shimmery red ribbon to secure the envelopes. It keeps them all neatly together while adding a touch of class and elegance to my gift.

I wanted the cards to tuck nicely into a standard A2 envelope so I limited the embellishments. Even so I was able to add visual interest without the bulk by fussy cutting images from the paper collection and adding a bow. Also, the multiple layers in the Vintage Card with Oval Frame created an aperture that showcases the sentiment nicely!

Using the Purse as a Gift Box for Beauty Products...

For my second project, I used the purse as a gift box instead of a card holder and I created a coordinating card to go with it.

The paper collection that I used is Pretty as a Poppy by the Paper Studio.

The Purse Box is quite sizeable and holds an array of beauty products.

This will make a lovey gift for a birthday, wedding shower, or Mother’s Day.

Pretty Tote Bags and Paper Tassels

Mike from our design team made up some Trendy Tote Bags to give as birthday gifts this month. He added his own beautiful touch with paper tassels strung on the tote's handles.

I loved this classy touch he added to these so I made a cutting file for the Pretty Paper Tassels

Be sure to visit Mike @ DeZinesbyEM for a lot more info plus really helpful tips on shading with ink cubes and a "special" handy blending tool.

"Photo Tutorial for Pretty Paper Tassels"
After cutting out the parts for the tassel cut a small strip of twine or cord and glue the ends to beginning of the tassel cutout.
Begin rolling the tassel tightly around the cord. When you get to the end of rolling the strip use a small bit of glue to hold it closed. With your fingers you can gently fluff out the tassel ends to give them a bit of a curve.

Glue one end of the top decorative strip to the tassel
and wrap it around tightly letting it overlap onto itself.

Finish wrapping it around and glue the other end down. You can also use washi tape or ribbons in place of this strip.

When all glue is set and completely dried you can use the Paper Tassel as embellishment on various craft projects, like adding it to a paper purse or totebag like Mike did. These would be great to have for graduation projects too using school colors.
