Valentine Love Mini Album with Robyn Pitts

Robyn created her Love Mini Album using medium weight 12 x 12 black chipboard and poured a lot of love, passion and creativity into each page. See how she turned the 4 page Love Word Album into a keepsake that will hold over 36 photos. Every page is filled with beautiful detail and fun, interactive features.

The letter “L” is cut from 2 layers of black chipboard that creates room for the shaker elements. The chipboard letter is then outlined in rhinestones and the shaker heart is filled with sequins.

When you open Robyn's album the back of her cover page is kept simple with a panel to journal or write a special message to the recipient. What a wonderful keepsake this would make for a newly wed couple.

A large heart (in place of the letter O) is cut from 2 layers of black chipboard and then glued down on just the right side to create room for a pocket on the left.  Robyn also created an additional black boarder to outline the heart and she explains in her links how she did that.

The heart is embellished with a mini fringe heart, pink and white rose floral spray, ribbon, several layers of decorative chipboard elements and a whimsical silver glitter arrow.

Several 3x4 journal cards that are backed with black cardstock are placed behind the heart pocket and are perfect for adding more photos.

Robyn created this next pocket by duplicating the base of the “Heart” page and cutting it in half. Then she created gussets on both sides to create a pocket.

The pocket is lined with pink lace, hearts and more rhinestones.
This pocket contains (4) 4x6 journal cards that are perfect for photos and journaling. She also included a tag and a small heart shaped notepad for more journaling

The letter “V” is cut on 1 layer of black chipboard and outlined with rhinestones then embellished with a beautiful resin butterfly, pink and white rose spray, and a lace applique.

Robyn shares links to the Twist and Pop card and where to find the paper pad and other materials she used for this beautiful album.

The Letter “E” is cut on 2 layers of black chipboard to create room for the shaker element which is filled with sequins. More embellishments, hearts, a pink and white rose floral spray and mini envelope are added to the bottom of the letter.

Robyn added a waterfall album with a magnetic closure to hold (13) 3x4 photos. Be sure to check out her video for more details and great tips to create your own Love Word Album.

THANK YOU ROBYN for letting me share this. ~ Val

Martha's Sweet Heart Trees

The Sweet Trees were inspired by a similar craft seen on Martha Stewart. We LOVE Martha but are not affiliated with Martha Stewart in any way. We don't cook like her, clean like her or make the big bucks like her, BUT we did find a better, easier and inexpensive way to make those sweet paper trees.

This latest design "Martha's Sweet HEART Trees" was created for Valentines with cut out hearts on the tips of the branches. These would also make beautiful table top decor for a wedding or bridal shower.

The trees are large averaging 5" to 12" tall.  You decide. Add layers for a taller tree or fewer for a smaller version. They will stand alone without a base to support them.

They come in all the different cutting files, AI, DXF, GSD and of course SVG! No matter what cutting machine you use one you'll find a file that works. All the score lines are done too.

Top the trees with jingle bells, pom poms or cut out hearts.

Here's a video tutorial that shows how easy you can put these together.

Monster Pops and Googly Eyes for Valentines

Have you met our newest little monsters?
Meet Googly Frank, Swirly Sue, Hearty Harold and Glassy Gayle.

The new Monster Love Pops are characters that hold your cake pops and lollipops. The hole in front lets the pop serve as the nose. Includes a PDF to print a one piece colored version for hand cutting.

It folds at the bottom and a small hole lets you slip in the stick of the pop thru. Then you glue the tops together to close.

Finished size after a cake pop or tootsie pop is added will be
3.75" wide x 3.75" tall.

DT Marlene's LOVE Pops...
Its February and LOVE is in the air!  These Monster lollipops are just CRAZY in LOVE. They are so easy to put together and so much fun to embellish.

I changed up the eyes a bit on Love Monster Sue. I left out one eye layer and switched out the black eye circle for a heart shaped one. I also added little sparkly pom-poms for her antennae.
To Frank, I switched out the large circle dimple and used a heart instead." ~Marlene @ Scrappin Cookie

Papers are Cardstock Warehouse and Doodebug Design. Stamps are Jaded Blossom.

Sweet Valentine Heart Top Treat Box
Heart Top Treat Box by Shirley @ Scrappy Sam Designs

"It will be Valentine's Day before we know it, so I made this cute little Heart Top Treat Box. I used Heart Top Treat Boxes & Tags from My Scrap Chick for my box. I also used an older image from Magnolia and a scalloped oval from Cricut. The main part of my box is 5 3/8 inches tall (excluding the heart closure at the top)." ~Shirley

Puffy Heart Candy Gift Box

When all you have to give is
"your heart and a little bit of chocolate"
this will be the perfect candy box.

The Puffy Heart Candy Box is super easy to assemble and holds a lot of candy. It's also very quick to assemble.

When finished the box measures 6.5" wide x 5" tall and approximately 2.25" thick at widest part. It holds 8 pieces of the yummy Lindor candies.

It takes only one sheet of 12"x12" card stock for the box itself and it's all one piece other than the panels. The self closing tab on top folds over and slips into the slot in back.

DT Shirley from Scrappy Sam Designs created the puffy heart below and added some beautiful touches. Take a look....

Shirley~ "I fell in love with this Puffy Heart Candy Box  from My Scrap Chick and knew I needed to make one for my granddaughter."

"I decided to make a double bow for my box. I simply stacked a smaller bow on top of a larger one."

"I decided to put a cute Cupid's Cloud image on the back of my box."

"I started by duplicating the heart mat and making it slightly smaller, then attached the image to it. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added accents with gel pens and a glitter pen."

"This is how the finished box looks from the side..."

I liked how Shirley thought to glue the bow to the closure tab, making it the front of the box. Then when she added a colored digi to the back it was seamless. Smart thinking.

Sue's "Little Piece of Quiet" Layered Frame Card

There are so many wonderful designs for stampers to color and use in their card making. Sue is especially talented with coloring and inking as you can see in this sweet card. She chose the Classic Tall Card Frame from our selection of Layered Card Frames to mount her precious artwork.

"I used an older wood mounted stamp that has since been reissued into an cling unmounted stamp. It is called Pieces of Quiet.

I adore the card base file I used from
My Scrap Chick. I used the Classic Tall Frame Card file and resized it to fit my image.

I cut out a Spellbinders Heart Circles die and used the little throw away pieces to glue onto the frame. Somewhat of a pain to glue, but worth the effort!"  ~ Sue

There's more details and links on Sue's blog so be sure to

Every year, just as Valentines Day is approaching, I love to rediscover all the sweet projects from our design teams, past and present. I always find an abundance of Valentines from Kristin at

Valentine Owl Belly Box
Paper Creations by Kristin

When Kristin used the Owl Graduation Belly Box she left off the graduation cap and then added the big heart and message tag to the front of the belly. And I love those little pink bows on her head.

Kristin was our Design Team leader for several years and also paper pieced and photographed many of our product photos during that time. She's awesome!!!!

All pinks and reds and lace and love.

Pencil Box Valentine
Paper Creations by Kristin
The 3D Pencil Box will hold several candies or other goodies. Instead of using traditional yellows, Kristin chose pink and red papers and added the tag with a fun pun,
"Valentine, You're all 'write' with me."

Pencil Valentines
Paper Creations by Kristin
Pencils are perfect for classroom treats. The dollar stores always have packs of Valentine pencils so it's an inexpensive treat when you have many to make. Kristin used the front of the Pencil Card, used bright Valentine colors for the paper, then cut slits to insert the pencils.

Valentine Baby Cupid Box
Paper Creations by Kristin
Kristin combined a few different cutting files from My Scrap Chick to create this little cupid belly box. It was so darn cute we made a new item, Cupid Belly Treat Box, with all the parts and pieces in one design. It continues to be one for the most popular Valentine box.

Valentine Mailbox
Paper Creations by Kristin
Sending love notes and Valentine cards are what the day this day is all about. So of course Mailboxes are a popular symbol for receiving those notes, cards and the small nuggets of chocolate goodies. The Mailbox comes with quick little Valentines too.

Kristin is a prolific and highly creative paper crafter and great photographer to boot so I guarantee you will enjoy browsing her blog at Paper Creations by Kristin and facebook page. And she obviously LOVES Valentines Day so I hope you will leave her some love in the comments.

Thank you Kristin for allowing us to share your wonderful projects.
