Slice of Summer Boxes and Cards Tutorial

Summer gift boxes and cards that look like fresh fruit slices. Apple, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit and watermelon. Try it in bright fresh citrus colors or juicy pastels.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Assembly Tutorial for Slice of Summer Boxes

 

1. Cut out box pattern and lay out your pieces grouped together for easy assembly. The lid and box bottom are assembled in the same manner.



2. Starting with either lid or box bottom, fold tabbed pieces for curved side of box along score lines. Add glue along the tabs and adhere to half circle piece along the curve. Work your way around gluing down teeth until you get to the end of arch. 

Fold long tab for straight side piece and adhere to box/lid bottom and the glue the tabs to the curved sides.


3. Glue liner to inside to cover tabs and give a finished look. The inside liners will be the smaller of the half circles.



4. The box lid and the box bottom are asembled in the same way. When done, embellish with any fruit piece from set.
