Sweet Nugget Matchboxes

Sweet Nugget Matchboxes
These little nugget boxes will fit 4 of the Hershey's Chocolate Nuggets. Pattern includes small wraps that can be cut from coordinating papers and wrapped around each little candy. Great favors for parties, showers and weddings.

You have the option of a solid cover box cover or give a sneak peek inside the treat box with one of the 3 window shapes. It always nice to have options.

How-to video shows how quick and easily these sweet boxes go together.

I actually designed these little nuggets back in April of this year,  and Ruthie Nixon at September Ninth Blogspot did up some adorable samples for Mother's Day and Father's Day. You can see all the photos on her blog.

We've had a lot of giveaways happening on our facebook page and we'll get all caught here posting winners.

I just need a cute little something to tuck a small gift in.

I love making quick little gifts. They are great for friends and loved ones and always puts a smile on someones face.  The new Caddy Essentials Pattern Collection is perfect for just that, quick gifts. From tiny nail polish and chocolates to BBQ Sauce or Shower Gel, whatever your gift...give it in style.

The new Caddy Essentials Collection comes with 12 versatile caddy patterns for single and double gift options. You can even adhere 2 caddies together to make four pocket gift holder.  The four pockets are great for art supplies, or little plants for the green thumb in your life.

Possibilities are endless, easy and lots of fun. I created this caddy to hold a bar of handmade soap for a friend.

The stripe paper is from K&Company called KP Blossom Plaid Flat Paper.
The brown cardstock is from a stack of  Persnickety paper from The Paper Studio.  Embellished with Blue Celebrate it ribbon, a blue Prima flower and a pink Pearl brad from American Crafts.  The soap is an amazing handmade lemongrass soap with Shea butter for toning and tightening.  Laughingly called "Seattle's Sunshine"  can be found here.

Our Memorial Day BBQ is going to look great with this double BBQ Caddy.

Created the caddy and added the inside divider. Tied a ribbon and added a flower and done!
Memorial Day BBQ, here we come!

Here is another quick project I did using the

Just because quote came from the KP Blossom Patchwork Paper by K and Company.
Embellished with a single glitter Prima Flower and pear brad from American Crafts.

Another flower cut out from the KP Blossom Patchwork Paper by K and Company.
I glued 2 caddies together to create a double caddy design.  So cute and so easy!

Flutterby Paper Piecing & Mixed Media

Carmen Lucero is an artist who creates beautiful mixed media artwork on canvas. She is also a cancer survivor and created this special canvas for her Oncology department.

She was so kind to share the photo with us and I have enjoyed gazing at it, discovering new things each time I open it to look. We knew we just had to share this with our readers.

There's a lot to explore in this piece of art. Carmen said, "I painted the background with acrylics . It's a forest scene with mountains and a road in the foreground. I then used several different kinds of media to finish it up; more acrylic paint, stamps, rub-ons and different textures." The little girl in the front is is actual paper piecing of Flutterby, a recent Tiddly Inks pattern at MyScrapChick. There's many positive words here and there and one message reads...

Happiness is like a butterfly,
when you go after it
it goes away...
but when you stand still...
it comes to you.

Carmen displays her art in a local cafe and this particular canvas has already sold. Easy to understand why. She says she's working on more, particularly one she's already titled Hope. And we Hope we get a glimpse of her future art. Beautiful! Thank you Carmen.
